Netcomm forum 2013

The forum dedicated to e-commerce

Netcomm, The Consortium for Italian Electronic Commerce has, this year as well, organized a forum dedicated to e-commerce in Italy.

The event was held at the Centro Congressi MiCo on May 28 and lasted the whole day.

Already at its 8th edition, the event was directed towards the operators in this sector and the enterprises and those interested in the topic. It was focused on an in-depth understanding of the online marketing world. Workshops were held during the day as well as plenary sessions on the most popular platforms for developing e-commerce sites (Prestashop, Magento) These seminaries and plenary sessions concerned the importance of e-commerce on the current marketplace and the tendencies of online marketing all over the Italian territory - for example, the steady growth of selling food products.

Interact decided to participate in the event with the aim of sharing its know-how, extending its network of partners and boosting collaboration with Italian companies who firmly believe in the success in using e-commerce to re-launch both local and international economies.

The stands involved were focused on e-commerce but each of them offered a different business model or proposal. The interesting thing is that online marketing has many aspects and offers the availability of doing business with any type of enterprise, both involving proposals for services as well as direct sales.

Wasabiz is an interesting example of success gained. The core business of this company is the management of logistics and deliveries. It made the decision to integrate its own CRM with a module for online sales that enabled customers to implement this platform but above all permitted Wasabiz themselves to manage all the delivery purchasing streams, ranging from orders through to stocking the merchandise

To confirm the importance of online sales in Italy and the interest displayed in the consortium, a certain standard of security has been considered so that all e-commerce in Italy will have to show through the Netcomm certification seal. This seal, divided into three types, will offer end-users ce platform and purchase security involved in e-commerce sites.

The seal will, in fact, certify:

  • The data identifying the enterprise
  • The VAT code
  • The page giving e-mail and/or telephone contacts
  • Information related to the products or services offered
  • Prices
  • Sales conditions
  • Means of payment
  • Delivery and invoicing
  • Data and transaction security
