PoliNet, the new web portal was founded, dedicated to political communication on Social Networks created by Interact S.p.A and Algorithmica S.r.l.
PoliNet was implemented because we became aware that at the present time political communication on social networks is too fragmented and consequently difficult for the public to follow political and party activities. Using PoliNet offers the availability of accessing in real time a selection of various data categories to be used for obtaining an overall description of the activities performed by politicians on Social Networks.
The portal can be consulted via pc, tablets or Smartphones and offers the following functionalities:
- LEADER SECTION - a Showcase in the foreground dedicated to the social streaming of the leaders, divided on the basis of the types of coalition, party or elections (national, regional);
- SOCIAL STREAMING - this panel offers a quick view of the main activities of politicians on Twitter;
- THE TOPIC OF THE DAY - the most popular trends on Twitter are shown through the use of hashtags;
- TAG CLOUD - a cloud appears of the most popular hashtags discussed in politics;
- THE PROFILE OF THE POLITICIAN - a file is given with all the information coming from the various accounts of the politician selected. There is further a stream updated in real time of the official Twitter account;
- THE PROFILE OF THE PARTY - a card that collects all the information coming from the various official accounts of the party selected. It further shows streaming, updated in real time, of the official Twitter account;
- THE POLITICIAN SECTION - this section offers the availability of finding the politicians appearing on the Social Networks in alphabetical order
- THE PARTY SECTION - this section is dedicated to the parties.
PoliNet is at present in beta version and envisages the release of the following new functionalities:
- New Social Networks - Social streaming integration with Facebook and Google+
- Video section - this module is dedicated to the videos coming from YouTube and Google Video
- Trends and topics - the ranking of the most accessed accounts and the most popular tags;
- Enhancing the contents in the contributor's file - the creation of an editorial area that can be managed autonomously.
